was granted his Eternal Freedom the afternoon of August 11, 2022. Manuel had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with his beautiful wife, Dora serving as an example of a true love story. Manuel was a U.S. Air Force Veteran proudly serving from 1971-1974. He was widely known as a genuine man full of love, humor and a solution to anything you could throw at him. He never took for granted an opportunity to have someone pull his finger just to bring laughter or to clear a room. He loved to hunt, fish, & pick piñon from the pine trees. He loved to sing & dance especially to his Spanish music. He enjoyed sports & loved to play a good game of billiard pool & he was good at it too. He had a love for baseball and played in High School & went on to coaching Little League for his son, nephews, and many others. In his spare time, he really enjoyed a good ole Western movie He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he expressed it countless times. Manuel (Meme’) was a very caring soul who expressed his love to all and touched the lives of so many.
Manuel was pre-deceased by his father, Jesus Garcia, mother, Enedina Garcia and brother, David Garcia.
Manuel is survived by his loving wife Dora along with his sisters Mary Frankie and Melissa Diaz (Desi). By his Children: Jennifer (Edward), Javier and Amanda. Grandchildren: Ezekiel, Jada (Gavin), Ella, Jayden (Tamara), Bryson, Vincent, Landon, Jacob (Laila), Zariah. Great Grandchildren: Primrose, Gabriella, Amiyah, Camilla, Ace, Leo and Ava. Also, by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his two aunts Elvira Cortez of Corpus Christi, Elena Garza of Pharr, Texas. A special thank you to his nephew Cesar and his wife Shannon for their loving support.
Services will be held September 1, 2022 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 10:30AM.
