Elizabeth “Betty” Lorena Reed (Warren) was born on February 16, 1936 in Artesia New Mexico. She graduated from Ray, Arizona High School in 1954, the only person in her family to graduate. She would tell you that Ray no longer exists. She married William Ingram in 1954, and together they had four children. She then met the love of her life in 1992, and Mr. James Reed stayed by her side until the end. Jim and Betty traveled to many places in their retired years, only recently slowing down due to Betty’s illness. Betty died of Dementia related organ/body failure. She passed away on January 28, 2023. She is survived by four children who dearly loved her, Linda Catherine Barton (Tex), Calvin Lee Ingram, “her only son”, (Judy), Janet Lucille Ingram, and Rhonda Linn Powers. She was also fortunate to have 22 grandchildren, with two passing before her, as well as several great-grandchildren, and even great-great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family of eight children. Her Father, Thurman, was a Miner, and her mother, Lois, was a homemaker. They lived a very simple life, and Lois joined the LDS church, and Betty remained a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A visitation will be held at 5pm on Friday, February 3 at Thompson Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 7pm. Interment will take place at 2pm on Monday, February 6, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
