Dixi was born on March 13th, 2010 in Litchfield Park, Arizona. She was given her wings on January 2nd, 2015 in Kermit, Texas. Dixi was taken tragically away from us in a car accident at the young age of 4. Dixi's life would seem too short by many, but to those who knew her understood that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. If you were lucky enough to have had your life touched by her, you know you will never forget her famous smile and non-stop excitement for horses, and she would share that love with whoever was available to listen. Dixi enjoyed being a girly girl at times, painting her nails and playing dress up; but she loved to roll around in the dirt with her stuffed ponies. She was a child that loved life. When she entered the room, you were guaranteed to have a smile on your face within ten seconds, because not only was she the star of her own world, she was the star of ours; and you couldn’t bring her spirit down if you tried. Dixi’s was quick to copy anything that her parents did, her family was her biggest love in life. She will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts as she learns to use her new wings. Dixi is survived by her parents; Delilah Brisby and Wayde Viss; younger sister Daisy Viss, along with her beloved grandparents George and Donna Brisby, David and Mia Viss, and Jo Viss, with so many other friends and family. Upon Dixi's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated, not mourned. There has been a memorial fund established in Dixi’s name to support her loving family she has left behind, you may donate at www.gofundme.com/dixiviss. A visitation will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, January 14th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 15th at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Burial will follow at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye, AZ.
