Daniel Falcone

Daniel “Sonny” Falcone of Tucson, Arizona passed away July 11, 2023 at the age of 85. He was born August 13, 1937 in Douglas, Arizona to Donato Falcone and Refugio Montelongo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Sueno Falcone and his sisters, Ruth Huizar, Lucia Pierce, Tonia Diaz, and brother Mike Falcone.

Daniel is survived by his children: Victoria Falcone, Mike Ken Falcone, and Akihiko Kaga; daughters in law: Michelle Falcone and Debbie Rios; sisters: Mary Valdez (Falcone) and Esther Estrada (Falcone); brothers-in-law and childhood friends: Rudy Estrada and Alex Valdez. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Zenji, Melody, Michelle, and Anjali; and four great-grandchildren.

Daniel left Douglas to join the United States Air Force at the age of 17. His career had him traveling all over the world, including Japan where he met his wife Sueno. Together they raised their children Akihiko, Victoria and Mike in Arizona and traveled on many road trips and frequent vacations in Hawaii once their children moved out.

Daniel was strict, loving, and generous, with a sly wise-cracking sense of humor. He was a dedicated family man who worked hard to support his family and was always available to listen and offer guidance. And lots of laughs.

Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His humor, one-of-a-kind soul, and loving heart will be sorely missed.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm, Tuesday, July 25 at Thompson Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 7pm.
