Reverend Daniel Augustus Blackman, 89 of Phoenix, Arizona went home to be with the Lord September 17th, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born June 16th, 1931, to Simeon Blackman and Iris Blackman in St. Michael, Barbados.
Daniel became an ordained minister at the New Testament Assembly in London, England in 1971 and moved to the United States in 1986. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated man of God, serving in multiple roles including a Preacher, Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School Classes, Treasurer, Organizer of the National Brotherhood Fellowship, President of Brotherhood Class for Ministry Preparation and Bible Study Group Leader. He served in missions to Africa and Holland and has also written Christian articles published on FaithWriters, an online Christian Writer website.
Daniel is survived by his spouse, Cynthia Blackman; his daughters, Deborah Ingersoll, Julie Blackman, and Heather Blackman; his brothers, James Blackman, John Blackman, and Ezra Blackman; and one grandchild, Mark Ingersoll. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Simeon Blackman and Iris Blackman; his brother, Phillip Blackman; and his sister Shirley Edwards.
A Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7th at New Testament Christian Church, 6516 W. Camelback Road, Glendale, AZ 85301. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7th at New Testament Christian Church, 6516 W. Camelback Road, Glendale, AZ 85301.
Burial services will be at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
