Claude R. Trout, 80 of Goodyear, Arizona died January 16, 2023 in Goodyear. He was born August 17, 1942 in Seattle, Washington to Marion “Mickie” and Alice Trout. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Michelsen and parents, Mickie and Alice Trout.
Claude grew up primarily in the tri-cities area of Washington State in a small government run town, Richland. He was the fourth born of five children. His dad worked for the Hanford Nuclear Power Plant as a fireman. His mom worked at the neighborhood grocery store.
After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a radioman on the USS Intrepid (CVS-11). During his military time, he was lucky enough to spend a good deal of time in Naples, Italy. He often talked about his exploits there. In 1988, Claude married his wife, Ann. They enjoyed almost 35 years of marriage together, working and playing at the game of life. In 1995, they were very happily blessed with their daughter Marcie’s birth. As a family, they traveled ad played together often. He retired from The Boeing Company and the family moved to Arizona, preferring the warmth of the Arizona desert over the cold rain of beautiful Washington.
Claude is survived by his wife Ann Trout, daughter Marcie Trout, sisters Dixie Tyner and Gail Anderson, brother Mike Trout, and numerous loved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his adored, loved, ad treasured grandchildren, Xavier and Evelyn Palomera.
The family suggests donations be made to St. Mary’s Food Bank, to support the homeless population in the Phoenix Metro Area.
