Ryan B. Carlson, age 40, of Goodyear, AZ died on June 12, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born December 6, 1977 in Wichita, KS to Kenneth and Nancy (Glick) Carlson. Ryan was a loving and active child. His desire to be self-sufficient at a very young age led to many accidents and visits to an emergency room that would greet him with “not you again!” He enjoyed sports and played basketball and baseball in his youth. He was passionate about football, especially the San Francisco 49ers! He appreciated music and had a wide array of songs that became the soundtrack to his life.
Outgoing and friendly, Ryan was a natural at his job. He worked at a call center for American Family Insurance and would spend hours intently listening to people as they unfolded their problems to him. He was passionate about his commitment to these clients and would work tirelessly, doing everything in his power to advocate for them. In return his clients would often rave about his care for them, remarking about how rare his service was in today’s world. He was naturally tech savvy and able to tackle any technical issue without any training. That skill will be sorely missed by his family.
Ryan’s number one priority was his son, Bradley. Bradley was his world and he would do anything to make him happy. He planned many adventures for the two of them and loved to take him to Lego Land and Disneyland. He would wish that Bradley, and all of his friends and loved ones continue to live life to the fullest.
Ryan is survived by his son, Bradley Carlson; parents, Ken and Nancy Carlson; sister, Kristi Carlson Kelly and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester & Lottie Glick and Lt Col Kenneth Carlson and Muriel Carlson.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a funeral at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ.
