Joe E. Boydston, 67, life-long resident of Avondale, Arizona died July 13, 2022. He was born September 29, 1954 in Phoenix to Donald Boydston and Barbara Forstner.
He is survived by his sons Jacob and Jared; grandchildren Arianna, Jackson, and Juliette; sisters Sue, Linda, June, and Bille; and brother Jim.
Joe served three years in the U.S. Navy as a submariner. His commanding officer encouraged Joe to reenlist, saying he could use more discipline. Joe declined. He unapologetically lived life his way as a free spirit. On the darkest days for family and friends, Joe was there to help, never expecting anything in return. Joe maintained childhood friendships for life and was just plain fun.
