Asher Benjamin Ariel Ruthenberg, age 17 of Litchfield Park, AZ died November 10, 2019, in Litchfield Park, AZ. He was born June 2, 2002, in Kingman, AZ to Mark Ruthenberg and Tatyana Tskhai. He was a student at Millennium High School. Asher was funny. Whether cracking jokes, acting silly or a little bit crazy, he enjoyed making people laugh. Like most teenage boys, he loved to play video games. Call of Duty and UFC were his go-to games and Ricky, Connor, Brody, Kyle, and Brandon were his buddies. He was a fan of MMA and wrestled for three years.
Asher was also politically inclined and enjoyed conspiracy theories. He lived in Russia with his mother for four years and was bilingual in Russian and English. His time abroad opened his eyes to a world view that was uncommon for someone his age and he became concerned about political and economic situations in Russia and Korea. He was a brilliant writer and often expressed his feelings and apprehensions in poetry. Though prodded by his English teacher, he never felt comfortable openly sharing his prose.
Asher is survived by his mother, Tatyana Tskhai; sisters, Sarah McCovery, Rachel Ruthenberg, Gracie Tskhai, and Jazmyn McCovery; and brothers, Micah, Efraim, and William Ruthenberg, and Clarence McCovery. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Ruthenberg.
