He was the first-born son to Ismael and Petra Aguilar. Ismael was a hard worker and made a good life for his family. He was a truck driver/mover for most of his career and loved to drive across the country, but didn’t like that he was away from his family for long periods of time. His passion for the outdoors kept him camping and fishing in Flagstaff and in the White Mountains for many years with his wife, children and grand-children. He left great stories to tell the next generation of the adventures and memories that were shared.
He adored his wife of 52 years, Jessie Aguilar, his children, Lisa Aguilar Caulkins (Arden), Lee Anne Aguilar, Ismael Aguilar III (Tina), Christina Aguilar (Chris Flores) and Xavier Aguilar, 21 grandchildren and 12-great grand-children.
He loved to play tricks on people and was a jokester who liked to have fun and scare you when you least expected it. During his younger years, he loved to dance, sing and spend time with his family. He was a treasured and respected friend to many people. He was rightfully proud of his children, grand-children and great grand-children and he would always brag about them to anyone that would listen. His legacy will continue to live on with each and every member of his family for many years to come.
Ismael will deeply be missed by all who knew him, but he will never be forgotten.
Ismael is preceded in death by his parents, Ismael and Petra Aguilar and his sister, Teresa Price.
A funeral service will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel on June 22, 2021 from 9am to 11am. He will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, Arizona.
