William E. Satterfield

William E. Satterfield, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born Monday, October 2, 1939 in Trousdale County, TN and is preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Mae Eden Satterfield; wife, Barbara Satterfield and daughter, Debbie Smith; siblings, Ruby Gregory, J. T. Satterfield, Cass Satterfield, Joe Satterfield, Mai Goins, Britton Satterfield.

Mr. Satterfield was a veteran of the US Marine Corp (1956-1959),, retired lieutenant from the Metro Nashville Police Dept. after 30 years (1962-1992), locksmith for Centennial Medical Center (1993-2016) and Deacon at Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy (Mark) James; siblings, Joyce Green, Ida Sweeney, Earl Satterfield, Alvin Satterfield; grandchildren Bill Satterfield, Justin James, Chastity Tipton and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the chapel at Forest Lawn with Rev. Ken Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Satterfield at a visitation Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2:00 until 8:00 and Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 11:00 until the 2:00 service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
