Virgil Clair Johnson Jr.

Virgil C. Johnson, Jr. - age 92, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Born in Nashville, Tennessee Saturday, July 3, 1920 he is preceded in death by his parents Virgil C. and Mamie Tabb Johnson; wife, Yvonne Johnson, sisters Mae Johnson, Virginia White.

A US Navy veteran and retired project manager for Nashville Bridge Company; he is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Larry) Wilkinson; son, James V. Johnson; brother, Howard Johnson; grandson, Ted (Michelle) Wilkinson; great-grandson, Seth Wilkinson.

The Johnson family expresses their sincere gratitude to Alive Hospice for all the care, compassion, love and support shown the last few weeks. Special thanks to Katherine, Lisa, Gillian and Marie.

Funeral services will be 1:00 Friday, February 15, 2013 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Scott officiating. Burial with Navy Honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Larry Wilkinson, Ted Wilkinson, Jerry Hammock, Howard Johnson, Jr., Stephen Johnson and Jay Johnson.
