Steven Randol Sloan

He was a devoted & loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew & great friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Lilbert Randol Sloan; mother-in-law, Jane Black.

Steven is survived by his wife of 31 years Diane Black Sloan; children, Heather Sloan (Brent), Scott (Dancy) Sloan, Kirk Pyle(Crystal) ; grandsons, Mason & Cooper Sloan; mother Mary Louise Sloan; sisters, Joyce Hitchcock, Gayle (Mike) Raetzel, Kat (Michael) Jones; nieces, Cheryl (Robert) Brown, Kelly (Scott) Fulsom, Crystal (Scott) Fitzpatrick, Jenny Teachey; Nephews, Keith (Sarah) Pyle, Chad Jones (Diane), Cory (Jen) Jones, Chuck Teachey, Joshua Black, Michael (Cathy) Raetzel, Jr., James Raetzel; father-in-law, Zearl Black; sister-in-laws, Susan (Charles) Teachey, Virginia (Robin) Wren, Darlene Black; brother-in-law, Steve (Jackie) Black. 11 great nieces; 7 great neieces; 8 great-great nieces; 4 great-great nephews; dear friend & Sloan Glass employee Shane (Tiffany) Moore.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Rivergate Church of Christ 201 Alta Loma Rd Madison, TN with Brother Sellers Crain officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers are Kirk & Keith Pyle, Chad & Cory Jones, Joshua Black, Michael Jr. & James Raetzel. Honorary pallberarers are Steve Black, Shane Moore, Jim Fuqua, and Richard Davidson.

Family and friends will gather to remember Steven today, Monday, November 26, 2012 from 3:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN and Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 12:00 unitl 2:00 at Rivergate Church of Christ.
