Born in Fountainhead, TN to the late Carter and Frances "Earline" (Downs) Johnson, Bobby is also preceded in death by his twin sons. Bobby is survived by his daughter Pamela Black (John) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren Jillian Black and Kaitlyn Black, as well as many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He was an auto mechanic in the army and carried his skills with him throughout his civilian life. His 37 year career as a mechanic for Peterbilt blessed him with retirement in 2009. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Echo Hills.
A graveside service for Bobby, officiated by minister Tom Seals, will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 beginning at 1pm, and burial to follow, all in the Garden of Peace, Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
