Peggy B. Binkley

Peggy Jane Boyd Binkley, age 96, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 in Linden, Tennessee. Born Saturday, December 10, 1927 in Ashland City, Tennessee. Preceding her in death by her parents, Ervin and Dora Boyd; her husband of 50 years, Curtis Binkley; two sisters and two brothers.

A graduate of Cheatham County High school, a devoted member of Jackson Park Church of Christ, she did office work for Genesco and she retired after 20 years from Opryland and Grand Ole Opry as a tour guide. Her work family was very important to her. Illness forced her to go into the Perry County Nursing Home.

Her three children survive Mrs. Binkley, Judy Bates, Peggy Hartley and her husband, Jim, Scott Binkley and his wife, Kathy. Her six grandchildren, Tabitha Coble, Rebeca Marrs and her husband Chad, Cindy Dixon and her husband Justin, Kathleen Binkley, Abagail Brewer and her husband Anthony and Joseph Binkley and her eight great-grandchildren, Audrey Crawford and her husband Bryant, Jacob Coble, Emma Marrs, Ryan Marrs, Ella Marrs, Barrett Dixon, Charlotte Dixon and Holland Harris.

The family would like to express their love and appreciation to mom’s neighbors for years, Sally and Robert Roberts.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 3:00 to celebrate the life of Mrs. Binkley at graveside in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Garden of Meditation.
