Mary Sue Overstreet, age 68, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Sue was born Wednesday, November 17, 1954 in Madison, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mattie Lanius Ashworth; sisters, Martha Jackson and Patricia White; brother, Wayne Ashworth.
Sue retired from Gaylord Entertainment after 14 years, she enjoyed crosswords and word searches. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Freddie Overstreet; daughter, Sara Overstreet; brothers, Ray (Faye) Ashworth and John (Brenda) Ashworth along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Sue will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Pastor Jon Briggs will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Preston, Johnny Ashworth, Austin Comer, Jeremy Johnson, Jason Ashworth, Steven Ashworth.
