Margaret Swift Harmon, 92, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. Born in Greenbrier, Tennessee Sunday, April 13, 1924 she is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Clydie Algood Craig; her husband of 47 years, Hershal Swift; husband, Jim Bruce; son, Glenn and daughter-in-law, Patricia.
A home maker, But also was a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II; Mrs. Harmon is survived by her husband of 24 years, Louis Harmon; daughter, Shandry (Gary) Bullock, grandchildren, Cary (Wendy) Swift, Barry (Cinnamon) Swift, Tamara (Jeremy) Cook, Heather (Casey) Burrell, Brian Bullock, ; step-daughter, Teresa (Leland) Tedford; step-grandchildren, Priscilla, Leigh (Chase) Joiner, Will Tedford, Katrina, Cameron and Koreetsa Swift; great-grandchildren,Brittany and Austin Swift, Barik Swift, Carter Burrell, Gillian Burrell, Ketran Cook, Abigail Burrell, Peter Cook, Kayla Cook; great-great-grandchild, Kaydence Swift, step-great-grandchildren, Easton Tedford, Rosemary Joiner.
Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 with a Celebration of Life 11:00 Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Lyle Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
