John Arthur Martin, age 75, of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. John was born Saturday, December 20, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Dresser and Sophie Mai Dorris Martin and his wife Margaret Ann Martin.
A skillful carpenter and an Army veteran serving in Vietnam, he is survived by his daughter, Ann Swift (Carl) Coble and her children Donavan, Colby and Cameron Swift; his great-grandchild, Allie Faye; his step-children, Tommy, Travis and Tammey Lynch and their 5 children; his sister, Betty Jean Martin; his brother, James (Faye) Martin.
Family and friends will gather to remember John at a visitation Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 Tuesday morning May 23, 2023 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Dickens officiating.
Burial with military honors will take place 1:00 Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
