John Thomas "Johnny" Marlin Sr.

John Thomas “Johnny” Marlin, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born Friday, June 19, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sadie Marlin; sister, Paula Marlin.

Johnny graduated from Goodlettsville High School class of 1960; an installer for Western Electric, AT&T and retiring from Lucent Technologies after 42 years. His hobbies were Slot Cars R Us in White House, Tennessee and an avid University of Tennessee Athletics fan.

Johnny is survived by his sons, Michael (Kim) Marlin, Tommy (LeAnna) Marlin, Jerry (Susan) Marlin, Glen (Stacey) Marlin; grandchildren, Alyssa (Jayson) Montgomery, Chase Marlin, John Marlin, III, Justis Marlin, Faith Marlin, Lacy Marlin, Seth Marlin, Sadie Marlin.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 12:00 Friday, April 12, 2019 at graveside in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Powers officiating. Pallbearers will be, Michael Marlin, Tommy Marlin, Jerry Marlin, Glen Marlin, John Marlin, III, Justis Marlin, Seth Marlin, Jayson Montgomery. Honorary will be Chase Marlin.

Family and friends will gather to remember Johnny at a visitation Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 until 12:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 So. Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee
