Grover Wallace Hastings was born on March 27, 1934 to Wallace and Lorraine Hastings of Elnora, Indiana. A graduate of both Indiana University and the University of Illinois, he served his country with distinction for 20 years in the United States Air Force as a pilot, attaining the rank of Major. Following his military retirement, Grover dedicated his life to serving God and others as a both minister and elder in the churches of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Hastings, daughter Kathy Clark (Gary), son Keith Hastings, and daughter Kristy Hall (John), four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved and adored. A Celebration of Grover’s life will be held on Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Grover’s and Martha’s church home, Northside Church of Christ, 1375 Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, TN 37207. Visitation with the family will take place beginning at 10 a.m.
