Madison, TN
Age 73, passed away August 22, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, George, Sr. and Ruby Fortner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Fortner; children, George (Amy) Fortner, III, Vicki (Brandon) Adams and William Clay Fortner; sister, Judy Henderson; grandchildren, Caroline Adams, Julia Kate Adams, Grace Fortner, George Thomas Fortner, IV and Abigail Fortner.
Tommy was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He served as a deacon at Madison Church of Christ and worked at the Benevolence Center. He retired from from the State of Tennessee after 35 years of service.
A Celebration of his Life will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Forest Lawn Chapel with Bobby Hudson officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m., all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
