Dressed in pink, our little “Ellie Mae” Elana Leigh Ayers loved animals and all of nature itself.
Her adventurous spirit drove her to interact with mother nature on a day-to-day basis.
She was known to have coaxed a baby deer away from it’s mother long enough to pet his tender head.
Her bravery with lizards and turtles was well shown catching them with her bare hands long enough to love on them and ever so gently release it back to its home.
Elana loved to fish. She was always the last one to put the fishing pole down. She was well versed in fishing in freshwater and loved fighting larger fish offshore in Destin, Florida. One particular day of offshore fishing in Destin Elana was able to catch more than anyone on the entire boat.
She was a dancer from a small child. She was known for exceptional moves on the dance floor and loved music.
She loved to drive things and loved to fly and the feeling of being way above the clouds, she always loved the take off and how she could see the world below. She was never one to be timid about much of anything, a brave soul for sure!
She loved the beach. She would always want to stay longer than anyone else.
She was a horseback rider, her first horse’s name was Scout. She had a way with all animals which allowed her to connect with each one she came in contact with big or small. Elana loved sweets…..particularly ice cream and fresh baked cookies and MeMaws Brownies in particular.
Elana was a Christian and believed in Our Lord and Savior. Elana believed strongly the verse in Philippians 4:13 which states “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me…”
This beautiful young lady was and is loved by many people and was a joy to be around with her tilted head bold smile. She will be forever loved and missed!
She is preceded in death by her memaw, Sue Ayers.
Elana is survived by her father, Morris Ayers (Jessica); her mother, Carrie Leigh Hardy (Matt); her siblings, Tayler (Matthew), Blake, Sydny and Barrett ; grandaddy, William Ayers; (Paw) Chester Hardy III; (Maw) Tammy Hardy; great-grandfather, Henry Anderson; uncle, Chad; cousins, Presley and Palyn, ; aunts, Angela and Lois Hardy (Craig); to many family members to mention that loved her dearly.
