He is preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Wilson Pinkerton “Pinky” and Eddie Payne (Rutledge) Pinkerton; brothers, Junior Pinkerton, Frank Pinkerton, and Doug Pinkerton.
Ed was a Blacksmith. He enjoyed hunting and working with firearms. He was a lifelong member of the Sheet Metal Local 177. He was lovingly referred to as “Plywood” by those that knew him. He cherished his family, but above all he loved the Lord and was a member of the Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Lorraine (Horton) Pinkerton; daughter, Tina Anderson (Jeff); sons, Todd Pinkerton (Brandi) and Travis Pinkerton (Natasha); grandchildren, Zachary Pinkerton (Melanie), Justin Pinkerton (fiancée, Alexis Franck), Brandon Reed (Chelsea), Aaliyah O’Brien (Colby), Taylor Anderson, Kaci Pinkerton (fiancé, Josh LaBarge), Thomas Anderson, Shyanne McCarter, and Kiara McCarter; great-grandchildren, Karter O’Brien, Kaiden O’Brien, Julaina O’Brien, Raylee Reed, and Kaliyah Reed. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends for Edward will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. A gathering of family and friends will also be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
