Dorothy Ann Jackson

Dorothy Ann Jones Jackson, age 89, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was a faithful member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. Dotty loved her friends and family dearly, especially her grands and greats. They brought a smile to her face whenever they entered the room. She enjoyed playing cards with the Gatlinburg bunch, cooking meals for those in need, and planting flowers in her yard. She was always loving, always serving.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Vella Bea Jones; beloved husband of 50 years, Kenneth Jackson; daughter, Debbie Jackson Byrn; and brothers, Larry Jones and Jim Jones.

Dotty is survived by her daughters Melissa Starchild, Karin (Blake) Hensley and son Kenny (Marie) Jackson; grandchildren Ryan (Terran) Byrn, Cody Byrn, Kama Starchild, Jackson (Alex) Hensley, Caroline (Devin) Clark, Anna Kate Hensley, Andrew (Morgan) Hensley and Violet Jackson; great-grandchildren Gabe Byrn, Danny Byrn and Graham John William Hensley; sister Rita Schrader and sisters in love, Caryl Jones and Millie Jones.

Family and friends will gather at a visitation on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 PM at Old Hickory Church of Christ, 1001 Hadley Ave, Old Hickory, Tennessee, with Don Loftis officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a gift to the charity of your choice in memory of Dotty.
