Donna Gayle Taylor

Donna was born to parents Wallace and Florene Duffer on October 12, 1959 in Springfield, TN. She grew up as the second youngest of nine children and graduated from Springfield High School. She worked for 20+ years with the Robertson County school system, including at Springfield High School and Greenbrier Middle School, and was passionate about working with children.

Donna is survived by her sons, Michael Brandon and Josh Kyle; her sisters, Faye King, Dottie Lankford, and Connie Hutcherson; her brothers, Glenn and Jerry; and her grandson, August “Gus” Finley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Florene; her sister, Wilmoth Gainous; and her brothers, Wayne and William (Billy).

Donna loved to relax by crocheting, enjoyed watching the sun set, and loved visiting the Smoky Mountains.

She was endlessly supportive and had boundless love to share with those around her. She was most proud of being “Mimi” to her grandson, Gus. While she spent her final years happily unmarried, she would have gladly changed that for a shot at screen legend Sam Elliott.
