A member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and retired fitter for the Nashville Bridge Company he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edith Goad Frazier; children, Richard A. Smith, Jr., Roger Phillip Smith; brother, James Mark Frazier; sister, Mary Sue Hughes; grandchildren, Christy Sandlin, Lori Ann Wright, Kelly Michelle Smith, Rachel Marie Butler, Angela Dawn, Toni Michele Gray, Matthew Phillip Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Malcolm Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are, Roger Smith, Richard Smith, B. H. Goad, Jeff Whitter, Tommy Kimper, Benny Page, David Bowden.
