MARTIN, Brian. Age 47 of Nashville, born December 11, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents Dorris Maude Martin and Sam A Martin, went peacefully into the arms of his Savior on October 25, 2020. He is survived by his lifelong friend, Madison "Lisa" Conquest; their son Brian Martin Jr., twin daughter, Baylee Martin; grandchild, Hannah Cashman; sisters, Vickie “Annette” Beasley (Geno) and Connie Shepherd (Ronnie). Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Sam A. Martin Jr., and sister, Patsy Schuller. Brian served as a manager at Kroger for over 30 years, training and acting as a mentor, friend to and confidant of countless colleagues and their families, both in and outside of his dedicated work life, and he remained active in the UFCW Union until his death.
Outside of work, Brian lived for his children and spent most of his time being the best father to his children and an exemplary role model for all. Brian guided his children spiritually, witnessed with their extended Church family and visited often with their family and friends.
Brian improved the lives of everyone he met, whether family, friend or stranger, never ignoring a cry for help or a request for advice, and always offering a shoulder lean on or an ear to listen. Brian enjoyed broad friendships within and outside of his extended “Kroger” family. A fierce and loyal friend and mentor, Brian touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Brian spent countless hours with his favorite pastimes: being a tireless cheerleader at every sporting and other event featuring Baylee or Brian Jr., and attending Predators, Titans and other local sporting events with friends and family. Brian will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched. Visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 S.
