Born in Paris, TN to the late Thomas and Jewell (Cobb) Davis, Ms. Bobby is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert O. Leckie and their daughter Sheila Leckie; sister Christine Johnson, and David Lyons who was like a son to Ms. Bobby. She leaves behind her son Mike Leckie; grandchildren Sallie M. Brown, Elizabeth Leckie, Steven Leckie (Sherri); great-grandchildren Kaylie and Emma Leckie; a great great-grandson Eastyn; nephew Larry C. Johnson of Caldwell, Idaho and many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
Ms. Bobby was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society of Nashville. She retired from Bellsouth and involved much of her spare time to missionary work, locally and internationally. Her missionary work with “Samaritan Purse Shoeboxes”, “Women on Missions” and Native American charities was enormous. Ms. Bobby had a giving nature and a benevolent character. In her youth, you could find Bobby on the basketball court. She loved animals, nature and spending time with her family. Ms. Bobby will be dearly missed but her memory will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 3pm -7pm and again on Tuesday, August 29th, from 12pm – 2pm, with a funeral chapel service to begin at 2pm and interment to follow, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Pike Rd., Goodlettsville, TN.
