Bettie is a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vaughan Sr.; parents, James Bedford and Nellie Maybelle Thompson; her sisters, Marilyn Butts, Nellie Coker, Ruth Martin and Marie Thompson; brother, Woodrow Thompson; great-grandson, Ethan Petty.
Survived by her son, Charles Vaughan Jr.; granddaughter, Leeann Vaughan; great-grandsons, Dylan and Caden Petty; sisters, Mildred Minchey and Elaine Avaritt.
A visitation for Bettie will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
