Barbara Lou Horton

Barbara Lou Horton, age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Barbara was born on Friday, September 19, 1941, in Charleston, West Virginia and was preceded in death by her parents, Quentin and June Iris Fore Stewart; husband, Albert Louis Horton; daughter, Michele Horton; and son, Marc Horton.

After Barbara earned her Master's degree in elementary education, she was an educator for the District of Columbia Public School system for more than 20 years. She enjoyed doing crafts with family and friends and going to the casino with her longtime friends.

Surviving are daughter, Melissa Horton, son, Mishon (Elizabeth) Horton; grandchildren, Rishon Horton, Isiah Horton, Heaven Leigh Horton, Mia Horton, Mishona Horton, Michele Horton; great-grandchildren, Alexis Monroe, Avery Monroe, Ashona Horton and Alissa Horton.

A gathering of friends and family for Barbara will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.

Following the gathering of friends and family, there will be a celebration of life at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee with Dr. Pastor Joseph Rice officiating.
