Mozelle Ella Boyd, 78, of Leander, died Sunday, April 10, 2022. Born in Houston, she was a longtime resident of Gonzales before moving to Leander a year ago. Mozelle enjoyed bingo, crocheting, visiting with her friends and family, and especially her cats Socks & Patches. She always loved playing games with her family and taking all of their money, which she always did. She enjoyed helping her son do projects around the house including laying wood floors, building a shed and laying tile. She loved going shopping for things to do crafts. She loved her nightly talks with her special sister-in-law Carolyn Leazer. She was a strong woman who held her own among her 5 brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, with burial to follow at Harwood Cemetery in Harwood, Texas.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Jalene Leazer, husband Charles Boyd, brothers, Daniel V. Leazer, Garry Leazer, and Paul Leazer. Mozelle is survived by her son, John Hoffman and his wife Amanda of Leander, and her brothers, Darrell Leazer and his wife Cindy, Wayne Leazer and her sister in law Carolyn Leazer all of Gonzales.
Pallbearers will be Darrell, Wayne, Matt, Michael, Dwayne, and Bubba.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Friends of Gonzales Animal Shelter in honor of Mozelle Boyd.
Mozelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
