William "Joey" Soileau

Soileau, William “Joey” Passed away on Tuesday Oct. 9, 2012 in Baton Rouge, La. at the age of 52. A native of Ville Platte, La. and resident of Gonzales, La. Joey was a retired heavy equipment crane operator. Joey is survived by his wife Tammy Manuel Soileau of Gonzales, La. 2 Daughters- Lori Jo Soileau of Lafayette, La. and Chasity Nicole Soileau of Austin, Tx. 2 Step Sons- Mark Jordan Deshotels of New Orleans, La. and Jesse Lee Deshotels of Gonzales, La. 1 Brother- Craig Soileau of Ville Platte, La. and 1 Step Sister- Debbie Guillory of Lecompte, La. Joey was preceded in by his parents-Harold “La Lou” and Betty Ortego Soileau, Grandparents- Issac and Ida Ortego, and Dolsey and Dayer Soileau, 1 Step Brother- Robert Moran and 1 Step Sister- Ellen Whittington. Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 11th from 4PM until 9PM with the recitation of the rosary at 7Pm at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy. - Gonzales, La. and will resume on Friday Oct. 12th from 9AM until 1:30PM. Religious services will be held at First United Methodist Church 224 Constitution St. –Gonzales, La. at 2PM conducted by Rev. Mark Goings followed by burial at Oaklane Memorial Park, Prairieville, La. . Joey was an avid golfer and New Orleans Saints fan.
