Wayne Lewis Russell Sr.

Wayne Russell, Sr., age 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was a native of Belleville, IL and resident of Gonzales. Wayne enjoyed going hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also was an avid NASCAR fan. Wayne was a HAM operator who worked and retired from Dow Chemical Plant. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Lee Ann Russell; daughter, Vanessa Nichole Russell; son Wayne Lewis Russell ll; grandchildren, Brittany Nichole Russell, Breanna Renee Russell, Trevor Cole Russell; and his dog, Rocky. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Esker Lewis Russell and Theresa Goodfred Russell; brothers, Richard Russell and Michael Russell. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 9:30 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Hope Haven on Hwy 30 in Gonzales. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the St. Joseph Hospice care and the Carpenter House as well as the doctors and staff of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
