Wayne Paul Marcel, resident of Prairieville, La passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Rowena Cantrelle Marcel; son, Benjamin “Ben” Marcel (Lauren); daughter, Mai-Lin E. Marcel; grandchildren, Milain, Maddox, and Amily Marcel; sisters, Barbara Sullivan and Lydia Colvin; brother-in-law, Alvin Robichaux Sr. and sister-in-law, Ethel Eymard. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Lee and Theresa Berthelot Marcel; sisters, Marilyn Falgout; Brenda Robichaux, and Sylvia Matherne; brothers, Lee Marcel Jr., Ronald Marcel and Carl Marcel; sisters-in-law, Joyce Marcel and Lola Cantrelle; brothers-in-law, Jerome Cantrelle, Rodney Eymard, Gerald Falgout, and Charles Matherne. Wayne’s proudest accomplishment was adopting Benjamin and Mai-Lin and providing his family with all his love as an amazing father. Visitation and rosary for Wayne will be on Tuesday, June 27th from 5 pm till 8 pm at Ourso Funeral Home Gonzales, La. and will resume on Wednesday June 28th at St. John Catholic Church Prairieville, La from 9:30 am till Mass of Christian burial at 11 am. He will be laid to rest in Serenity Oaks Memorial Park Prairieville, La.
