Wayne J Haydel

Wayne Julian Haydel a native and resident of Laplace died on November 5, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 73. Wayne retired from St. John Parish School Board. He enjoyed making wine, spending time in the garden, watching the Saints play on Sunday afternoons. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Haydel and his father, Otis Haydel. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carole Haydel.; beloved father of Chris Haydel, Brandon Haydel, Hope Falgoust (Jeff); grandfather of Hailey Soto (David), Devin Haydel, Dane Haydel, Madelyn Haydel, Grant Haydel, Bri Schilling (Jordan), Darbi Lobell (Justin), and Jacob Falgoust; great grandfather of Arabella Soto, Jase Schilling , Kylie Schilling, Cooper Schilling and Kara Schilling. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and supporting staff at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve, LA on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 9am-11am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
