A resident of Sorrento, Victor “Buck” Walker passed away at home Wednesday, July 16, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was 87 years old. He was a retired boilermaker, an usher for St. Anne Catholic Church, and a member of the Eight Point Hunting Club. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Ervin and Peggy Walker of Prairieville, Kerry and Mary Walker of Gramercy, Dennis of Lafayette, and Jodie of Sorrento; sister, Agnes Jones of Sorrento; grandchildren and spouses, Brad and Czarina Walker, Travis and Cherie Walker, Triste and Mike Nassar, Keri and Andy Tramonte, Kim and Daniel Babin, Kara Walker and fiancé Chad Fisher, Kaleigh and Paul Ford, and Jodee Walker; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Brennan, Zahra and Carter Walker, Emma and Colt Nassar, Isabella and Evan Babin, Nicholas and Wyatt Tramonte, and Maximus Fisher; sister-in-laws, Marion Walker of Sorrento and Irma Borne of St. Amant; brother-in-laws, Laverne “Diddie” Parent of Jefferson and Gene Williams of St. Amant; stepsons and spouses, Dale and Judy Lee, Glenn and Joanie Lee, Arnold and Marie Lee, and their families. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona “Kite” LeBlanc Walker, his second wife, Thilda “Tee” Landry Lee; parents, Ervin and Emma LeBlanc Walker; brothers, William and Ervin Walker; sisters, Violet Villenurve, Ruth Walker, Beulah Williams, and Amelia Parent. Visitation will be at St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento, Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Hope Haven Cemetary, Gonzales. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
