Thelma was a resident of Denham Springs and longtime resident of Gonzales; she passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the age of 87. She spent her entire life caring for others and in her final days she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her sisters, Christine Milne and Dora Halford; granddaughter and husband, Holly Martin-Picou and Matthew Picou; and her great grandchildren, Dennis “Ty” Martin III, and Chloe Kay Picou.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred O. Stevens; daughter and son in law, Linda and Frank Michelli; sisters, Nettie Lambert, and Maude “Pat” Lambert; and a grandson in law, Dennis Martin, II.
The family will welcome visitors on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 11:00 am until funeral service at 2:00 pm, Rev Eugene Gullet, officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
