Sidney "Pete" Dupuy Jr.

Mr. Dupuy was born on August 7, 1946 and departed from this life at the Lady of the Lake Hospital on December 30, 2022 at the age of 76 years. He was a native of Port Vincent, LA. He retired from Ascension Parish Government. He loved rebuilding antique cars and camping with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sidney Dupuy and Helen Dixon Dupuy, his daughter Brandy Lynn Dupuy and his siblings, Dianne Dupuy Roddy, John Wayne Dupuy, Gay Dupuy and Beau Dupuy. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Marlene Thomassie Dupuy, his son Lance Dupuy and his granddaughter Kelsey Dupuy. He is also survived by his brothers Larry Dupuy and Ricky Dupuy and numerous family members and friends.

Those serving as pallbearers are Larry Dupuy, Ricky Dupuy, Jason Mendoza, Lance Dupuy, Kelsey Dupuy, Donnie Junot and honorary pallbearers will be Johnny and David Dupuy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday, January 5, 2022 beginning at 9:30 AM, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:30AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales, LA.
