"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." If she could be described in one word, it would be "kindness." She was a caring mother and loving wife and a longtime resident of Gonzales before moving to Pensacola, Fla., where she passed away at 1:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Homestead Village. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Mann, of Folsom and Stephanie Collins and her husband, Lynn Wood, of Pensacola; son, George Kevin and his wife, Denice, of Gonzales; six grandchildren, Heather Ricca Wilson and her husband, Roman, Melanie Ricca Rath, William E. Terry, Steven E. Terry, Tia Wheeler Guillot and her husband, Harry, and Tara L. Wheeler; and six great-grandchildren, Courtney M. Wilson, Madison K. Wilson, Brenna E. Ebitz, Isabell S. Terry, Dain A. Christman and Maci M. Guillot. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Wheeler; her first husband, A.D. Turnage; and parents, William H. and Clara Coons Bink. A memorial gathering will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Thursday, Dec. 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will take place Friday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales.
