Sharon LeBlanc Dixon, native of Convent, resident of Gonzales passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 72. Sharon graduated with honors, was the 2016 Queen of the Old and the Beautiful Red Hat Society, was an Avon representative, loved traveling, meeting people and her dog “Taco”. She is survived by her husband William P. Dixon; daughter Penny D. Martinez; son Errol “Joe” Dixon; sisters Dymple Akin and Debbie Acosta; brother J. E. “Sonny” LeBlanc; 3 grandchildren Coty Broussard, Travis Martinez and Kelly Diaz; 4 great-grandchildren Mateo and Alexander Brave Diaz and Kathleen and Jude Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents Fernand J. and Lucille “Tootie” LeBlanc and her brother Fernand “Buddy” LeBlanc, Jr. Pallbearers will be Errol “Joe” Dixon, Travis Martinez, Omar “Luga” Diaz, Kenneth Dixon, Michael Dixon and Johnny Akin, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Broussard and Johnny Akin, Sr., J.E. “Sonny” LeBlanc, Lance LeBlanc and Clint LeBlanc. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home from 5PM – 9PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant from 9AM until mass at 11AM, celebrant Fr. Michael.
