Ruby R. Johnson Ellisor

A native of Acy and resident of Prairieville, she passed away at her home surrounding by her loving family on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 95. She was a member of the Hwy. 73 Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary, the East Ascension Sportsman League, and was a member of Meadows Chapel Methodist Church in Prairieville. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary Williams, Callie Franklin and friend Jesse Morrison of Sibley, Margie and Caroll Cedotal; son and a daughter-in-law, Gene and Pamela Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Letty Johnson; her second husband, L.E. Ellisor; daughter, Lena B. Johnson Humphrey; son, Letty Johnson Jr.; seven sisters; and six brothers. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Meadows Chapel Methodist Church in Prairieville Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Brother Tim Hicks and Pastor John Kraus. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Marchand Jr., Ralph Williams, Steve Williams, Keith Hernandez, Russell “Bud” Pickett, Shell Humphrey, Ed Humphrey, and Gene Johnson Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Caroll Cedotal II.
