Rosemary Richardson Parker
June 15, 1950 – October 2, 2018
Rosemary Parker was a native of Baton Rouge, LA where she attended St. Gerard School and Graduated from Redemptorist High School. She wed the love of her life on September 6, 1969, who was her next door neighbor growing up. They went on to raise 6 children and many “adoptive children” of her children’s friends in Zachary, LA. She was living in St. Amant, LA at the time of her death.
Rosemary loved camping, traveling, movies, puzzles, spending time with friends and family, her children’s sports (of which she rarely missed a game) and mostly her Faith and her family. Rosemary will forever be remembered as a loving and selfless mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Rosemary is survived by her parents, Gail and Majorie Richardson; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jimmy Richardson, Steve Richardson and wife, Robin; six children, Travis and wife Vikki, Cassie, Bridget and husband Martan, John and wife, Tabi, Amanda, Jason and wife Torie; and ten grandchildren, Blanton, Blaine, Brennen, Seth, Andrew, Sadie, Ryleigh, Bennett, Emme and Gabriel.
Rosemary was proceeded in death by her husband, Floyd; a son, Michael Everett; a granddaughter, Evangeline Rose, her Father and Mother–in–Law, John and Myrtis Parker, a Sister-in-Law, Beverly Richardson; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. Visitation will resume from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am celebrated by Father Rueben Reynolds. Burial to immediately follow at Richardson Family Cemetery in St. Amant, LA. Pallbearers will be Blanton Burgess, Seth Richardson, Jeremy Girlinghouse, Scott Gautreaux, Nick Millet and Martan Magee. Honorary pallbearers are Blaine Parker, Andrew Carr, Seth Smith, Steve Richardson, Jimmy Richardson and Bennett Freeman.
