Rose Ann Kenna Gray, age 83, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was a native of Sioux Falls, SD and a resident of Gonzales. Rose graduated from St. Mary’ Catholic School in Salem, SD. She was a household engineer for 63 years.
Rose is survived by her husband, Stewart Dean Gray of Gonzales; 5 daughters, Jolene (Russel) Roy of Amite, Michelle Wheat of Gonzales, Cindy Marchand of Gonzales, Becky (Smokey) Scanlan of Maurepas and Jenny (Kirk) LaFitte of Darrow; 2 sons, James (Jill) Gray of Beaver Dam, VA and Scott (Ezanie) Gray of Gonzales, sister Joann Wagner of Omaha, NE; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Elsie Struck Keena; brothers, Clair, Joseph, Don, Jack and Richard Keena; granddaughter Stephanie Epps.
Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:30PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Hwy 621, Gonzales from 9:00AM until service at 11:00AM, celebrant Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Rory Kling, Jeremy Epps, Justin Wheat, Arthur Scanlan, Jason Scanlan, Dillon Ordeneaux and Randy Gray.
