Ronnie entered eternal rest surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at The Carpenter House, Baton Rouge, La. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Bercegeay Aime; 2 daughters and 1 son, Ronelle A. Wilkinson (Wendell), Ronlyn A. Fleury (Steven), and Ronald Aime Jr. (Senetta); 8 grandchildren, Ret.1st Sergeant Shaun Wilkinson, Shane Wilkinson (Blair), Shanelle Wilkinson (Brandon Miller), Kindra A. Williamson (Josh), Heather Aime, Aime Fleury, Anthony Fleury, and Micheal Maher (Bella); 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Eva A. Bourgeois and Gloria A. Berthelot (Howard), and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter J. and Estelle Brignac Aime; sister, Belva A Robertson, and brothers-in-law, Jerry P. Berteau, Barry O. Bercegeay, Tex Robertson, and Joseph Frankie Bourgeois and sister-in-law, Norma Bercegeay Hargrave. Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army. He served as a chemist at Monochem, Inc. and Borden Chemical in Geismar for 34 years. He retired from Borden in 1995. Ronnie loved unconditionally and lead by example. He was always present to lend a helping hand or to give a shoulder to cry on. He had the calmest of spirit and great wisdom. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. He was a proud member of Baton Rouge Woods and Waters Club as well as several B.R. Bowling Assoc Leagues. He loved fishing, bowling, playing cards, and being involved in sports activities with his children and grandchildren. Ronnie’s family wishes to thank his Hospice Nurses, Jamie, Melissa, Ms. Barbara, and Conseula for his care over the past few months as well as The Carpenter House nurses, Garnett, Jody, and Joyce. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La., and will resume on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 AM. Father Todd C. Lloyd officiating. He will be laid to rest at St. George Mausoleum.
