Regina Gautreau Bourgeois, a longtime resident of St. Amant, Louisiana passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 87. She was widely known throughout the community for the thirty-plus years she worked at the Gonzales Wal-Mart where she worked as the operator and fitting room attendant upon retirement. Regina, affectionately known as Maw-Maw Gina, was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Ronald “Ronnie” Bourgeois, Blaine Bourgeois (Donna), and Cheryl Moran (Alvin); grandchildren, Troy Bourgeois (Shannon), Dana Fontenot (Andrew), Tasha Jones (Erik), Connie Gachot (Michael), Charles “Chuck” Braud (Mia), Tasha Quarles, Lauren Standridge (Cody), and Logan Bourgeois; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Braud (Nick), Shelby Babin, Chris Bourgeois, Reiden Bourgeois, Brier Babin, Alexa Braud, Karl Mires, Donovan Bourgeois, Lathan Fontenot, Emily Bourgeois, Aliyah Champagne, Tru Braud, Izaiah Stueber, Braddik Crawford, Natalie Stueber, Kara Braud, Ember Bourgeois, Atticus Standridge, Cale Braud, Hannah Quarles, Nora Standridge, Tris Braud, Orion Schwartz, Justin Quarles II, Kora Braud, and Maxx Braud; and great-great grandchild, Addison Murphy. Regina is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years Herman P. Bourgeois, parents, Henry and Adele Duplessis Gautreau, and siblings, May Spurlock, Willie and Mary Louisa Gautreau, Lowell Gautreau, Maudry and Emile LeBlanc, and Murphy and Jeanette Gautreau. Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 9 am until mass of Christian burial at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Troy Bourgeois, Chuck Braud, Cody Standridge, Nicholas Murphy, Izaiah Stueber, Karl Mires, and Honorary Pallbearer Al Moran and Brad Duke.
