Polly Dragg Gautreaux a resident of Gonzales, La. passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov 11, 2023, at the age of 88 while surrounded by many of her loved ones. She was born in Lake Martin on May 6, 1935. Polly was a feisty woman of many talents. She was an awesome cook who enjoyed cooking for friends and family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. She was a gifted seamstress and a proud gardener who loved showing off her fresh and canned vegetables to all. She was a master in ceramics, arts and crafts, and created many beautiful art objects, and was an excellent, but highly competitive card player. Throughout her years, her family was always her greatest passion. She took wonderful care of her beloved husband, Terry, throughout their almost 70 years of marriage. She loved her children, idolized her grandchildren, who in her opinion could do no wrong, and adored her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, John Terry Gautreaux; sister, Rowena “Peachie” Gautreau; children, Sherri Jones (Ken), Sindy Bordelon (Jim), Galen Gautreaux (Daina), Dale Gautreaux (Toni), and Julie Gautreaux Letulle; grandchildren, Doug, Derek (Heather), and Colby Palmer, Paul, Jr. and Jessica Miano, Brady, Barrett and Britt Gautreaux, Taylor (Micah) and Cameron Gautreaux, Chandler (Tyler) Brown, Karli Daigle (Ladd), Chelsi Louviere (Errol), and Callie and Kennedy Letulle; great-grandchildren, Haley Dane Palmer, Paul III, Preston, Peyton and Amie Miano, Kyland Miano, Kalyn, Lucas, Harper and Sawyer Gautreaux, Ada and Jonah Brown, Linnon Daigle, and Elliot, Emmet, and Evie Grace Louviere. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford “Boots” and Julia Villar Dragg; brothers, Alex and Alvin “Bully” Dragg; sister, Evelyn Prescott, and grandson Dane Steven Palmer. Services will be held on Thursday, Nov 16, 2023, at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9 am until Funeral Mass at 11 am. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers, Doug, Derek, and Colby Palmer, Paul Miano, and Brady, Barrett, Britt, Taylor and Cameron Gautreaux.
