Percy James Shook

GONZALES-Funeral services will be held for Mr. Percy James Shook, age 83, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales. Burial will follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday morning at Ourso Funeral Home from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am. A resident of Gonzales, Mr. Shook passed away at his home on Friday, February 27, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Parent Cyrex Shook; daughter, Vicki Wood of Charleston, MS; step-daughters, Laura Cyrex Chitty and husband Timothy Moore of Gonzales, Susan Cyrex Poche and husband Ray Poche of Sugarland, TX, Randee Cyrex Joffrion and husband Steven Joffrion of Gonzales; grandchildren, Jenny Shook Serpas, Mike Wood, Seth Joffrion, Emily Chitty, James Poche, Cori Joffrion, Kate Poche; great-grandchild, August Joseph Serpas and sister, Johnie Shook Staten. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Percy Shook; mother, Johnie Brown Shook and son, Ronald Ken Shook. Mike Wood, Seth Joffrion, James Poche, Travis Serpas, Steve Joffrion, Ray Poche and Timothy Moore will serve as pallbearers.
