District Chairman’s Retreat 2022.  Lots of great friendships were built & fundraising plans were made.  Paul was a great friend & will be missed by so many.  His memory will live in through all of us in DU. 

I am so sorry to hear about Paul. He was such a nice man. Your family is in my prayers.

Man, I don’t know where to start. I met Paul about 12 years ago when I started working at DNOW. One of many things I remember the most was that every year he would convince me to buy one of the Ducks Unlimited calendars for a chance to win a gun. I would never win one and always told him , Paul, don’t even ask me next year because I never win , LOL. Well, the last year that I worked with him at DNOW when it was time for him to sell the calendars , he comes in my office and says, well you gonna buy one or what? It seems like just yesterday I can remember telling him, dang it Paul, yes I’ll buy one ONLY because I need to win a rifle for my son. Well , I think Paul ended up winning about 4 or 5 guns that year and of course I didn’t win one, LOL, and trust me, he never let me forget about it. My condolences go out to Ms. Cathy and the rest of the  Matherne family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Matherne family. I met Paul when I worked at NOW/NOV. I loved when I traveled to Louisiana because he always made the trip a fun one. 

He was one of the kindest people I met. This world has truly lost one of its bright lights.

Paul is definitely going to be missed. We worked together at NOI, NOV then DNOW.  I learned so much from him. He was kindhearted. We had lots of laughs through the course of the years. He use to have special rings on his phone for people. It wasn’t a song but sounds.  Paul  loved to fish and he would bring me some whenever he was in town. Rest in peace my dear friend. I will always remember you as “Crawdaddy”. 

To most he was Paul. To us he was Dad and Paw Paw. We will take care of Mom from here. We sure will miss you! 

Paul and I had many adventures together.  Lots of late nights doing inventory for NOV and tons of road trips.  He was a great person.  Always in good spirits and one hell of a friend.  You will be missed, my brother.

Man this one has shaken us! I took this pic at the Empire Tarpon Rodeo Aug 2022! I’m so glad we spent that weekend together. So many gut busting laughs. That’s how I’ll always remember you. Love you Uncle Paul.  

I cannot say enough good things about Paul. I have so many fond memories of Paul while working at NOV. We spent a great deal of time together traveling throughout the United States for work. What I will miss most is that laugh. No matter the situation, Paul could find humor in what we were trying to conquer. 

He was always there willing to listen, willing to help and more importantly; was there to be a great friend. Paul was always there for his friends, family and team members. I learned a great deal from Paul. I hope he is catching them redfish in the sky.

I first met Paul back in 2001 working for National Oil well. A few years later he became my boss-man. Paul wasn't just my boss he was a dear friend as well.  Rest in peace my dear friend, you will be missed.

Paul always brought so much to the people he was around. Looking at this picture brings back so many times we would go out on the road to make a difference, along with some fun times. P-diddy we will miss you!

I met Paul when I started with NOV in 2001. He would tell it like it is and I guess that's what I liked about him most. He became my boss in 2009 and I soon learned he was a stern but fair boss. He made me laugh with his dry humor.  He will surely be missed. RIP my old friend. Prayers to the Matherne Family. 

Paul was a co-worker for many years but more importantly he was a great friend and and one that I had many enjoyable conversations with. I offer my condolences and prayers to family and friends.
