Patricia "Nanny Pat" Sheets Dempster

Patricia “Nanny Pat” Sheets Dempster, age 74, native of St. Amant and resident of Gonzales passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5:00PM – 9:00PM at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales. Visitation on Friday, March 10, 2017 will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9:30AM until service at 11:00AM, celebrant Fr. Rubin Reynolds. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy 30 Gonzales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and everyone’s Nanny Pat. She loved Pokeno and played for over 40 years. Survived by her children Ty and Bonnie Dempster, Troy and Leann Dempster, Robin and Curt Parent and Chance Simoneaux who she raised as a son; grandchildren Clay and Cohen Parent and Cade, Cain, Paisley and Lillian Dempster; 3 brothers and 4 sisters Barbara and Jerry Michel, Gene and Faye Sheets, Gladys and Bo McManus, Wayne Sheets, Tommy and Donna Sheets, Charlotte and Dale Hidalgo and Ramona and Blake DeBate. Preceded in death by husband Joseph “Buddy” Dempster; father and mother Wilbert and Brunhilde Tatum Sheets and sister Addie Sheets. Pallbearers will be Raymond Latiolais, Tyke McManus, James Walker, Darren Hidalgo, Jason Sheets and Travis Sheets. Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.
