Norma Ann Dore, a resident of Gonzales and native of Natchez, MS, passed away on June 22, 2024 at the age of 83. She has now rejoined her late husband William “Bill” Dore in their heavenly home. She is survived by her sons, Jonathan Dore, Joseph Basil Dore and wife, Lorna Ann Froess Dore and Jason Thomas Dore; grandchildren, Denise Marie Dore, Meagan Ann Dore Gunter, Katherine Elaine Dore, Nelson Osvaldo Dore, Roman Julian Dore, Thomas Hayden Dore, Madeline Jean Dore, Sarah Kelly Dore, Jessica Marie Dore, Jonathan Alexander Dore, and Nicholas William Dore; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Harold and Opal Woolfolk and her two brothers.
Norma was a very spiritual and loving person. She had such a strong bond with her family and her friends. She was always on the go with her friends, enjoying her water-aerobics and exercising at the gym as well as her frequent outings. Ann loved to travel. She lived in Indonesia for 3 years and traveled extensively across Australia and Southeast Asia. When her sons were stationed in Europe, she loved to visit her grandchildren in whatever country they lived. She actively corresponded with friends and family across 3 continents. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales on 27 June 2024 at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 8:30 am. A reception will follow services at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.
